This is my first official post from my new website that went live yesterday.

I am determined to publish this post today.

I think I could have made this quilt …… twice ….. with the time it has taken me to post this.

I may have even cried once and yelled at the dog.

The learning curve for this 55 year old cowgirl has a set of mountain switchbacks with a 7 % grade thrown in.

However,  I think I’m gonna love it!

But right now, I can’t figure out how to get the pictures loaded and make them the perfect size.

And I don’t know why these four pictures below are all stuck together.

But for now, I’m just going to carry on and pretend that I meant for them to be that way.

You may remember this quilt top I made with some vintage quilt blocks I found in an antique store in Colorado.

I when I figure out how to add links to previous posts it will go here _____________________

Anyway, I really had a great time with my new free motion quilting foot.  I used some 100% organic cotton batting. The red backing and binding is a modern design and I just loved it. I stitched the blocks in white and the denim trim in contrasting red.

I give all my quilts a name. I don’t know why. It’s usually just in my head.

This one is the “HoeDown Quilt”.

It will be the first one I put on my Etsy shop.

(Whenever I get that figured out, you will be the first to know. I may need a vacation after that)

I am participating in the Creative Everday Challenge Month. We are posting daily creations for the month of November. That is why I was so eager to get this posted. 30 days of creativity. The more you create…. the more you create.

It’s a throw quilt. It measures 50 X 65.

I feel good about saving the old quilt blocks that somebody’s grandmother made.

Sewing all those little pieces together by hand would be about as tedious and fulfilling as the learning curve that I experienced today.  But, I made it.  Thanks for being here.

Love,  Cowgirl Red   aka  Terah

P.S.  I didn’t really yell at my dog.   This quilt is for sale. If you are interested send me an email.

  8. You are a braver woman than I. But I do think you are doing a great job and will get all the PITA nuances conquered and stored in your memory bank–LOL! I could sooo relate to the techie frustration. I know less than most folks, I think. I’m not even sure if I am signed up properly for your posts! 😉

I wonder if making your posts through your new website is the reason my reader isn’t picking up on your posts?? The address looks the same. Hmmmmm speaking of learning curve. I have great trouble with computers and all that goes with them. Love your quilt too by the way.
