Then I watched a couple videos on YouTube.
I say “victim” because it is a love affair and that’s what I call all my former lovers. It’s a term of endearment.
I asked my customer (cousin) if she minded her project being my first victim.
She had no idea what I was talking about.
It was fun. It got crazy. I wanted it to be whacky.
I had no problem with “whacky”. I do not possess the skill set yet to do anything but “whacky”.
The “high brow” in me wants to use the term “Abstract Art”. You know, “a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which may exist with a degree of independence from visual reference in the world……” Huh? (Wikipedia)
It’s a “Fiber-Doodle”.
Absolutely gorgeous Terah! I love the graffiti graphic stitches! Do you ever go to Alisa Burke's blog/website????
Im asking my whole family to watch MissRepresentation with me on Thursday.
xo
Oh that red thread, all of those free hand swirls and curls are so you. I can see the spirit emanating from this quilt. BRAVO!!!! I knew you could do it.
Hi Terah, I love your whacky doodle quilting….it looks fantastic…. I understand "whacky" …."abstract" is a bit vague for me…
I am just thrilled that you bought yourself the right foot and went for it! This is just awesome!! I just knew that whatever you did would just be "you" and would fit perfectly. So exciting!! I predict you will never go back. :):)
Fiber doodle! I love that term and how your quilt looks!
Thanks everybody. I love it when you leave comments and add so much support for my creative journey. xoxoxo Terah
You're so funny! But a funny girl that is SO talented. I wish I could sew. There's not a bone in me that can run a sewing machine. =(
Wacky is always the MOST interesting and in your case the right thing to do, LOVE IT! What joy!
