Riding out to check fence and cattle.

Wordless Wednesday

Really just goofing off.

I think of West Virginia and my Grandmother.

Mulberry Tree

Picking mulberries for her.

Mulberry Tree

They never made it back to the house.

  1. They are plentiful this year.

  2. Yum! I love blackberries but not the scratches that result from picking. 🙂

  3. Lisa at Greenbow says

We have a mulberry tree across the street from our house. I don’t eat them but people do stop and pick a few from time to time. I should go try them.

  4. I love mulberry scented anything, but I honestly never knew what they looked like. They look like a dark raspberry kind of. Cool! And they taste good, too, I’d imagine. I don’t blame you. How can you get any work done with all the distractions everywhere you turn your head? LOL! Love and hugs! 🙂

  5. Oh, when you pick berries are they supposed to make it back to the house? They never did when I picked them as a kid. Perhaps that is why mom let me play while she picked the berries at the grandparent’s house…

  6. Wow!!! That’s a lot! We only have small ones and we only have like ten vines (bushes). Those look good!!!!

    • Jane, these were wild Mulberry Trees I just happened upon while I was riding. But now I know where they are for next year. I plan on a huge harvest. Terah

  7. Our mulberries are barely starting here. They are usually earlier than the blackberries but for some reason this year they’ve switched places. I have to fight the animals for our’s here, but I usually get some.. sheet on the ground and shake method of picking works best for me. lol
